“Today we lost a great ally and friend who in these months we forged a great friendship. Dear Elena from “Cuacolandia”, hearing about this unfortunate news in the early morning filled us with great sadness. Today we not only lost a friend, also today the animals lost a brave woman, a great example of struggle for the new generations,” added the Animalist Movement of Puebla.

Although it began with a first hypothesis of his death, which spoke of a thrombosis resulting from surgery, this was denied by the “Cuacolandia” team in a statement, who assured that his death was due to a pulmonary thrombosis, which caused a clot in the lung. However, the true reasons for his death are still unknown, which the judicial authorities must clarify.

The 31-year-old woman was known for her activism in favor of animals. In an interview with Infobae México she said that “since 2019, we have rescued 312 horses from abuse and abandonment. I always loved horses very much, since I was a girl I was a rider, I have ridden all my life and when I grew up a little I had the opportunity to give something back to the horses for all they have given me, so I decided to open the ‘Cuacolandia’ sanctuary.” .

In another interview, Larrea also assured that to finance his animal shelter he decided to join OnlyFans after a proposal made to him by a friend. Likewise, one of his achievements at the political level, together with the Animalist Movement of Puebla, was that the State of Puebla declared zoophilia as a crime.

The governor of Puebla, Sergio Salomón, mourned her death, referring to her as “a tireless fighter for the defense of animal welfare. The rescue of thousands of horses in conditions of abuse leaves testimony to her life and work,” said the president, who also added that “through the Ministry of the Environment, we will guarantee the protection of the specimens found in Cuacolandia.” ”.
