– Did not know After 14 years, the crime series “Vera” with actress Brenda Blethyn (78) in the lead role of Vera Stanhope is coming to an end.
This is reported by ITV, according to The Sun.

The British crime series follows Vera and her assistant, who are faced with a series of mysterious murder mysteries in Northumberland. All 13 seasons of the series have been available on NRK TV.
Next season will be the last, writes ITV. The final season will consist of only two episodes, of 90 minutes each.

Brenda Blethyn, who plays Vera, writes that it has been a pleasure to play the lead role.
