Ivan Toney was installed as striker and Kobbie Mainoo started for the first time. Belgium fielded the trio of Romelu Lukaku, Leandro Trossard and Jeremy Doku.

Youri Tielemans opened Belgium’s lead in the 11th minute. Jordan Pickford’s error in throwing the ball put the England defense in danger and Tielemans coolly slotted the ball in from close range.

Ivan Toney made it 1-1 in the 17th minute when his penalty kick was blocked by Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels. England took the lead in the 27th minute through Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen headed the ball in front of the goal and Sels couldn’t block it. However, VAR annulled the goal because Bowen was in an offside position.

Belgium closed the first half with a 2-1 lead thanks to Tielemans’ second goal. Starting with Lukaku’s trivela pass from the right side, the ball went to the far post and Tielemans flew and headed it into Pickford’s goal.

In the second half, England increased the intensity of their attacks and tried to equalize the score. England were nearly frustrated before Bellingham came to the rescue.

The Real Madrid midfielder equalized the score 2-2 in the 94th minute with a shot at the near post, after receiving Bowen’s pass. This means that England are without a win in two test matches after being beaten 0-1 by Brazil a few days ago.
