JUDE Bellingham scored a goal in injury time in the second half to ensure the England national team achieved a 2-2 draw against Belgium, having taken the lead through Youri Tielemans’ two goals in the friendly match, Wednesday (27/3) early morning WIB.

England, who lost many of their players due to injury, appeared to attack but the visitors were more threatening and Tielemans was successful in capitalizing on errors from the Three Lions’ back line.

The Aston Villa midfielder opened Belgium’s lead in the 11th minute taking advantage of Jordan Picford’s mistake and scored his second goal in the 36th minute to put De Rode Duivels back in front after England equalized through Ivan Toney’s penalty in the 17th minute.

Gareth Southgate has to face the storm of injuries that hit his team. The England national team’s injury problems got worse when John Stones had to be withdrawn after only 10 minutes of the match and replaced by Joe Gomez.

The home team’s suffering continued to increase when Picford, who was trying to make a pass, had the ball cut off by his Everton teammate Amadou Onana, who then gave a pass to Tielemans who broke into the England goal from outside the penalty box in the 11th minute.

However, 6 minutes later, the home team managed to equalize through Toney’s penalty.

The referee awarded a penalty after Toney was brought down by Jan Vertonghen in the forbidden box.

England managed to break through Belgium’s goal through Jarrod Bowen’s action using Phil Foden’s corner but the goal was disallowed for offside.

The visitors actually managed to take the lead in the 36th minute. Lewis Dunk, who was playing to replace the injured Harry Maguire, failed to anticipate a high ball which was controlled by Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku then provided an assist to Tielemans who again found the back of the England national team’s goal.

The 2-1 score for Belgium’s lead over England lasted until the break.

In the second half, both teams took turns attacking each other.

When the match looked like it would end in a Belgian win, Bellingham received a pass from James Maddison in the fifth minute of injury time to score and make the score 2-2.
