F1, a rocket hits an Aramco depot near the Jeddah circuit

A missile hit an Aramco oil plant a few kilometers from Jeddah, where the free practice of the Formula 1 Grand Prix was underway. A thick column of black smoke is visible from all over the region. Riyadh, Jeddah, Jazan and Abha airports have been closed for security reasons.

Aramco is the main Saudi oil company and sponsor of Formula 1. The Arab city has already been targeted by the Houthi group of Yemen, allied with Iran and in conflict with the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
