He is Catalan, the other is Balearic, precisely from Mallorca. The former is one of the strongest mountain athletes in the world, champion of ski mountaineering and trail-running; the other is a family-run footwear brand that operates in over 50 countries around the world. A new outdoor brand was born from the all-Spanish marriage between Kilian Jornet and Camper: NNormal. “A project that will initially focus on shoes and clothing for hiking and trail running, but which in the future will also extend to other areas of outdoor sports“.

Designed and tested between the coasts of Mallorca and the fjords of Norway, where Kilian currently lives (hence the name Normal: “Nor” from Norway and “Mal” from Mallorca), the new brand’s products will be launched next autumn in Europe and North America through the nnormal.com website and in specialized stores.

«Sharing the same values ​​is a strong motivation to start this project. We agreed that we need a new way of thinking and acting in relation to our environment and outdoor activities – explained Kilian Jornet -. We want to be very honest about how we make the equipment and the role of the company for society and the environment. It means transparency and work to avoid excessive consumption by building durable products. To have a minor impact on the environment we have to work with materials and design. It is a long and difficult path, but it is what motivates me and the team to start this project ».

NNormal products reflect the shared philosophy of the partnership between Camper and the Catalan athlete who is its testimonial: combining authenticity and practicality to inspire people to have fun and, at the same time, respect for nature. A goal that is expressed through garments built to last, technical and functional.

“Creating a new brand is always a very stimulating adventure, even if we are aware of the challenges it entails – said Miguel Fluxa, CEO of Camper and a member of the fourth generation of the founding family -. We are both complementary partners of the new brand. Having the opportunity to conceive it with someone like Kilian is truly unique: combining performance with ecological responsibility is in our DNA. As the first ambassador of the NNormal team, Kilian Jornet will wear the new garments during this year’s racing season.
