Falco Villa in Gars opens to visitors

In addition to the locations where the Viennese chic crowd let off steam, the brilliant creator of songs like “Amadeus”, “Ganz Wien” and “Junge Römer” was often drawn to the Waldviertel. Falco’s villa in Gars am Kamp will soon provide intimate insights into the life of the exceptional artist.

Lace curtains, pastel-colored pillows, a grandpa bed and plain coffee mugs with the inscriptions “Hansi” and “Maria”. In addition, gold records, dozens of awards and a thank you letter from Tina Turner. This is available in the Falco Villa in Gars am Kamp. In 1987, the exceptional artist bought the three-story property for 310,000 euros. “I felt like being a citizen!” Since his death (1998) the villa has been empty and has remained almost unchanged.

Gold records for 60 million albums sold.

The house is currently being renovated and will be opened to the public at the end of May or beginning of June. However, a visit alone will not be possible; instead, there will be guided tours of Falco’s retreat. According to the Falco Private Foundation, the proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support young artists.
