A falling barrier blocked both directions of BR-101, in the Morro dos Cavalos region, in Palhoça, in Greater Florianópolis. The flow of vehicles on the highway has been closed at two points since 10:40 pm on Saturday (13), and there is still no release date.

According to Arteris Litoral Sul, the concessionaire that manages the highway, preventive blocking at Km 229 towards the South and at Km 234 towards the North due to falling rocks and trees on the road.
Teams are working on site to free up the road, but there is still no forecast of when the flow of vehicles will be released. The concessionaire recommends that drivers do not travel to this section of the highway, as it is not possible to travel through the area.
This Sunday morning (14), the road is blocked in both directions. The detour options are, for those heading south, towards Porto Alegre (RS), detour via Km 215 of BR-101/SC to access BR-282/SC.

For those heading North, towards Curitiba (PR), you must access BR-285/SC, continue to BR-116/SC and then enter BR-281/SC.
Teams work to free Morro dos Cavalos
In addition to the Fire Department, teams from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) and Arteris are working on site to remove material from the road and free up the flow of vehicles. The closure also occurs due to the risk of new barriers falling, as the rain continues.
The PRF reported that if the weather cooperates, it may be possible to open one lane in each direction this Sunday, using the southbound lane.
According to the PRF, there are other points closed due to the rain this Sunday morning (14). Among them, the marginal roads at Km 276 of BR 101, due to flooding. Check out all the BR-101 closures:
