Rape on Halloween night: Man chases woman and drags her onto hospital grounds
The person you are looking for should between 5 a.m. and 5:40 a.m. on November 1, 2022 I met the 21-year-old at the Stühlinger town hall in Freiburg, who was on her way home after a Halloween party and had recently said goodbye to a friend. She was therefore drunk and took a detour along well-lit main streets. Her cell phone battery was dead, so she couldn’t call for help.
Initially, the stranger allegedly told the trainee that he was coming from work and was heading in the same direction. But then he became increasingly pushy. The man followed the young woman along the tracks of Fehrenbachallee across Sundgauallee to the Robert-Koch-Straße stop.
After about 15 minutes they passed a staircase, where he is said to have dragged them into the dark area of the Freiburg University Hospital. At the bicycle racks not far from the Institute of Clinical Pathology, the unknown man raped the woman several times. During the crime, the hood of his jacket was said to have been pulled up, as shown in the phantom photo.
Rape in Freiburg: Woman escapes and hopes in vain for help
According to the description, the woman managed to escape to Breisacher Strasse in an unobserved moment. The man is said to have pursued them, although it is unclear when he gave up.
It goes on to say that the 21-year-old tried to draw the attention of passing cars and get them to stop. But this was unsuccessful. Even in a bar where final cleaning work was taking place at the time, no one helped her.
Finally the young woman rushed home. Here she received the help she longed for from a roommate. The police were then called in.
Police are looking for suspected rapist: mustache and several moles on his face
According to the description of the person, the person is said to be 30 to 35 years old, 1.80 meters tall and of Arab appearance. The man has a mustache, several birthmarks on his face and short, side-shaven hair.
His dark voice is striking; he is said to speak German with a slight Arabic accent. On the night of the crime he was wearing a beige down winter jacket, dark trousers and dark shoes.
The Kripo Freiburg is asking the population for support and asking:
- Who thinks they recognize the man in the phantom photo?
- Who noticed the wanted man on the night of the crime in Freiburg?
- Who has made observations that could be connected to the crime?
