France, porn entrepreneur arrested for rape and human trafficking

French porn entrepreneur Michel Piron, owner of the “Jacquie et Michel” site, was indicted and placed in custody for complicity in rape and human trafficking. Together with him, a former actor and two former directors ended up under investigation for rape, exploitation of prostitution, human trafficking. For one of them, placed in pre-trial detention, there is also the charge of acts of torture and barbarism.

Piron’s wife, arrested along with her husband, was released by the Paris court. The investigation stems from the denunciation of three associations that have collected the testimonies of various actresses: women who said they were forced into uncommon and painful sexual practices without consent.

A few months earlier it had been published by the site Konbini a service entitled “the sordid backstage of amateur porn”, in which two women described these practices. In an investigative book entitled “Judy, Lola, Sofia and me”, the journalist Robin d’Angelo recounted his infiltration in the amateur porn industry and denounced the recurrent lack of consent in the videos.

The group, which had a turnover of 15 million euros in 2016, according to the reporter, based its success on buying low-priced amateur videos in France, before embarking on self-produced productions. The company, founded in 1999, now competes with Dorcel, one of the leaders in the porn industry.
