G20, airspace over Rome already closed: 8 thousand for safety

ROMA – Three days of anxiety. An unprecedented safety device set up by the Interior Ministry, with about 8,000 men and women presiding over the G20 meeting, protest marches, and foreign delegations. And two special guards among the highly guarded heads of state arriving in Rome: the American Biden and the Turkish Erdogan. It is they who, due to their political position and exposure to possible terrorist attacks, concentrate the defensive effort of our apparatuses, in collaboration with the US Secret Service and Erdogan’s bodyguards.
