(Brasília – 4/26/2024) – Starting this Sunday (28), the road in the Central Sector QSA 1 – C8 towards Commercial South of Taguatinga will once again have a dual traffic direction along its entire length. Traffic in the approximately 100m stretch, which goes from the corner of Loja Paris Joias to the corner of QSA 3, was placed in one direction due to traffic changes made during the works on the Rei Pelé Tunnel.

Originally, access to Comercial Sul was two-way and, due to the work on the Rei Pelé Tunnel, it was necessary to make a detour along this avenue, modifying the traffic in part of it, which now has one-way circulation in the aforementioned section. Now, after the completion of the works, two-way circulation will be reestablished on the road due to several requests from local businesses.

With the return of two-way traffic, vehicles coming from Comercial will be able to go up the road towards Lojas Americanas. The change in traffic light times and the alteration of signs and painting on the road should occur in the coming days, starting in the early hours of Saturday (27) to Sunday (28).

Closed access

The section that connects the Pitão Sul waterfront to CSA 1, on the side of Colégio Único, will be closed to vehicle traffic from Sunday (28). The location is not a public road and was only used for route diversion during the King Pelé Tunnel works.

In order to guide drivers and ensure better fluidity and safety for road users, traffic officers will be present on site and will install message boards and other signs to indicate the correct flow for vehicle traffic. Detran recommends that drivers pay extra attention when traveling along the stretch, in the coming days, in order to avoid traffic incidents.
