Quoted from Soompi, on May 11, the new drama starring Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won premiered with strong viewership ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of The Midnight Romance in Hagwon took first place in its time slot on all channels with an average national rating of 5.2 percent.

Midnight Romance in Hagwon is set in Daechi, a neighborhood known as a center for private education in Korea.
The plot centers on an instructor who tirelessly helps a student named Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) to be accepted into a prestigious university.
Meanwhile, JTBC’s new drama The Atypical saw a slight increase in viewership for its third episode, which earned a national average of 3.2 percent.

Heading into its final week of broadcast, MBC’s Chief Detective 1958 achieved its highest viewership ratings to date for a Saturday (when ratings are typically lower than Fridays).
The latest episode of this drama also managed to get attention and scored an average national rating of 9.7 percent.
MBN’s drama Missing Crown Prince also received the highest ratings on Saturday, scoring a national average of 3.2 percent for the night.

SBS’s drama entitled The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection, which only has one week left of broadcast, received an average national rating of 3.1 percent.
Lastly, Beauty and Mr. KBS 2TV’s Romantic continued its position as the most-watched show on Saturday, scoring an average national rating of 15.2 percent.
