Jakarta (ANTARA) – Bayern Munich will be without team captain Manuel Neuer, who suffered a muscle injury when facing Borussia Dortmund in Week 27 of the German League at the Allianz Arena on Saturday night.
Coach Thomas Tuchel said that even though Manuel Neuer was without the main goalkeeper, Bayern Munich received additional ammunition with the return of striker Harry Kane and winger Kingsley Coman.
“Harry trained fully with the team yesterday. Every day he has trained more since Monday last week. Everything is fine, he will play,” said Thomas Tuchel as reported by AFP on Friday (29/3).
England captain Harry Kane, who scored 37 goals in all competitions for Bayern this season, has recovered from an ankle injury he suffered two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman may be prepared as a substitute because the French winger has just returned from a two-month knee ligament injury.
“Kingsley is a big factor for us. He returned to the team,” said Tuchel.
Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer cannot be used because he is still in the process of recovering from a pelvic muscle injury he suffered while playing for the German national team.
For the first time since the 2010 season, Bayern and Dortmund face each other without either of the two German giants occupying top spot in the Bundesliga.
Currently Bayern Munich is in second place with 60 points, 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen who sits at the top of the standings. Dortmund is in fourth place with 50 points.
