Get well soon, Adrian Lehmann! | Swiss Athletics

Swiss Athletics has been informed by Adrian Lehmann’s relatives that he will unfortunately not be able to take part in the Zurich Marathon next Sunday for health reasons. Our thoughts are with Adrian and his relatives and we wish them a lot of strength during this difficult time.

Here is the message from Adrian Lehmann’s relatives:

With this message we would like to inform you that Adrian Lehmann suffered a heart attack during the final preparations for the Zurich Marathon. Thanks to emergency help on site and a functioning rescue chain, Adrian was able to receive medical care and hospitalized promptly. His condition is stable, but he remains hospitalized and under medical observation until further notice. The further medical steps are being continuously assessed; predictions about the further course of the disease are impossible at this point in time. Under these conditions, the planned start at the Zurich Marathon and the attack on the Olympic ticket for Paris are of course unnecessary.

We appreciate it when our privacy is respected in this difficult situation and we can put all our emotional energy into Ädu’s recovery. We will therefore not be answering any inquiries or providing any information about his health at this time. Instead, we will inform you again when the situation permits. We would like to thank you very much for your understanding and respect for Ädus and our needs.
