AS Roma won the derby match against Lazio. Daniele De Rossi’s troops won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Gianluca Mancini.

Duel Rome vs Lazio in the 31st week of Serie A it was held at the Stadio Olimpico, Saturday (6/4/2024) evening WIB. Mancini scored a goal for Roma in the 42nd minute.

This victory ended Roma’s victory drought in the Derby della Capitale which had lasted two years. The Giallorossi last won in March 2022.

Having received an additional three points, Roma has now collected 55 points in fifth place in the Italian League standings and is two points away from Bologna who are in the top four. Meanwhile Lazio occupies seventh position with 46 points.

The Course of the Match

Roma immediately pressed from the start. Leandro Paredes tried to fire a volley, but it sailed narrowly over the Lazio goal.

Roma’s back line error almost had fatal consequences. Ciro Immobile gets the ball from Isaksen and tries to target the near post. But his shot went wide of the goal.

Roma received a free kick and the ball fell to Diego Llorente’s feet on the right side of the penalty box. Lazio players blocked his shots twice.

Lorenzo Pellegrini’s shot from outside the penalty box was still anticipated by Mandas. There were no Roma players who responded to the thrown ball.

Chance for Roma. Angelino released a cross from the left side. Zeki Celik continued with a header, but the ball bounced to the ground before going over the crossbar.

Roma broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute. Starting from Paulo Dybala’s corner kick, Gianluca Mancini headed the ball into Lazio’s goal.

Lazio managed to break through Roma’s goal through Daichi Kamada, but the referee disallowed it. Kamada was in an offside position when receiving the pass.

Lazio continued to apply pressure. Pedro’s shot forced Mile Svilar to make a save.

The match then got hot. Players from both clubs got into arguments several times and the referee issued a yellow card. Until the end of the match, Lazio’s attacks did not produce results.
