McDonald’s is running out of French fries in Japan and is forced to cut portions in half, confirming that the transport crisis caused by Covid is causing serious damage in every sector of the economy, including the food chain. Frozen potatoes were arriving in McDonald’s 3000 Japanese restaurants from the west coast of the United States and Canada: the shortage of containers and floods in the north of the continent are blocking everything.
