Atletico Madrid get full points when entertaining Girona. Having fallen behind at first, Atletico turned around to win 3-1 thanks to two goals Antoine Griezmann.

Girona took the lead in the fourth minute. Artem Dovbyk took advantage of Yan Couto’s pass to break into Atletico’s goal with a shot from close range.

Atletico received a penalty in the 34th minute following a handball by Miguel Gutierrez. Antoine Griezmann, who stepped up as executor, successfully carried out his duties to change the score to 1-1.
Atletico took the lead in first half injury time, to be precise in the 45+6th minute. Angel Correa broke through Girona’s goal with a header after using Alvaro Morata’s pass.
Griezmann widened Atletico’s lead in the 50th minute. Griezmann scored his second goal in this match with a right foot kick from inside the penalty box.
Thanks to this victory, Atletico has now collected 61 points in fourth place Spanish League standings. Meanwhile, Girona is still in third place with 65 points.
