The best striker in the world, Erling Haaland, admitted that his “non-football” idol is Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic. “I love him. I think he’s good, he’s consistent with himself and he’s achieved so many incredible things, and he came from nowhere, from his own country. So – yes, I’ll choose Djokovic”

According to many football fans, the FIFA award for the best player of the year should have gone to the Norwegian, not Leo Messi. Last season, the Norwegian helped the “citizens” win the Premier League title and the Champions League trophy with as many as 52 goals in 53 games, including 36 goals in 35 appearances in the championship and 12 goals in 11 games played in the Champions League.

Haaland wants to be just like Novak in one thing – in mental strength. “If we’re talking about a mental fortress, then it’s Djokovic,” added the host of the Manchester City podcast, in which Haaland praised Novak.
