TV profile and economist Hallgeir Kvadsheim never received a formal approval of his degree as civil economist. He himself discovered this after 30 years.

It is in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that Kvadsheim writes that he thought he had been a civil economist for 30 years.

It was VG who first mentioned the post.

– But in the last six months of my education, I was on exchange from NHH at Bocconi in Milan and delivered final exams there. I realize I should have asked for final approval from Econa/NHH! Embarrassing!, the post says.

Kvadsheim is known to most Norwegians from the TV program “Luxusfallen”, which has been on TV since 2008. The program visits ordinary people who have ended up in financial trouble because they have become overconsumers and have borrowed money beyond their means.

– It was hard to discover, even though I probably consider myself first and foremost a private economist/consumer economist, says Kvadsheim to VG.
