Kane, who scored 30 goals in 25 league games this season, equaled Uwe Seeler’s 1963-64 record as the player who scored the most goals in his first season.
However, this record will not mean much to Kane, who is aiming to win the title with Bayern Munich. Since strengthening Spurs in 2010, Harry Kane has not yet tasted a title.
“I came here to score goals and help the team as much as possible. We all know we want to win trophies, the Bundesliga, the Champions League,” he said.
“Things can turn around very quickly in football. You have ups and downs, but you just have to roll with it and try for more,” said the 2015–16, 2016–17 and 2020–21 Premier League top goalscorer.
Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel, who will leave the club at the end of this season due to the team’s poor performance, supports Harry Kane to continue scoring goals and equal Robert Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals in a season.
“He did what he has always done throughout his career. He is a role model, has a great personality and is a top player,” said Tuchel.
“Being his coach is an honor,” concluded Tuchel.
