Hasto PDIP Says Minister of Social Affairs Risma Tells About Discomfort at Cabinet Meetings

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Secretary General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto said that the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini or Risma told me that there was a meeting in the President’s government cabinet Joko Widodo already uncomfortable. Hasto said that when he wanted to meet, the former mayor of Surabaya was also examined first, although Hasto did not explain what form the examination would take.

“Now the atmosphere at cabinet meetings, even when the meeting is being examined, there are elements of discomfort. “But the duty for the people, nation and state is to free ourselves from various inconveniences because to take care of the people, integrity is needed, steadfastness is needed in the principles implemented by Mrs. Risma,” said Hasto at the TPN Ganjar-Mahfud Media Center, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Monday. this, January 30, 2024.

Hasto said this was the situation after Tri Rismaharini rejected the Ministry of Social Affairs’ data for the distribution of social assistance or social assistance because they don’t want state aid to be politicized. Hasto said Tri Rismaharini had integrity.

“Remembering that Mrs. Risma is a figure of high integrity, she does not want this Ministry of Social Affairs data to be used for partisan political interests, let alone to fight for family interests,” said Hasto.

Hasto said that Risma was also not involved in the rice distribution policy for the poor or Raskin. As a result, Hasto suspects that rice emerged from Bulog with a sticker of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming couple which went viral on social media.

“It is included in the Raskin policy, so that rice is for the poor. From Bulog then a picture of the 02 Prabowo-Gibran couple appears. “This is a very serious political abuse of social assistance, it actually hurts the people,” he said.

Quoted from the January 14 2024 edition of Tempo Magazine, it is stated that social assistance is suspected to be part of efforts to win presidential and vice presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo-Gibran. It is also alleged that the distribution of social assistance uses the State Revenue Budget (APBN).

From various sources Tempothe preparation of this social assistance program is reportedly to attract voter sympathy ahead of voting day on February 14 2024.

Surprisingly, this social assistance program does not involve Social Minister Risma, who is most responsible for distributing aid. The social assistance program does not see Tri Rismaharini as the person most responsible for distributing social assistance.

Two sources Tempo, one of whom is a top official from the Ministry of Social Affairs, said that Risma was not invited to the meeting discussing social assistance. It is also reported that the government does not use the Ministry of Social Affairs’ version of data in distributing social assistance.

Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini did not want to comment on this phenomenon when asked by media crew while attending the symbolic handover of birth certificates and child identity cards (KIA) to 122 children from an orphanage in Batam.

“Sorry, I don’t want to answer that,” said Risma, at the Batam District Prosecutor’s Office, Wednesday, January 24 2024.
