Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited the H. Hanafie Muara Bungo Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Bungo Regency, Jambi Province, on Thursday (04/04/2024), to directly inspect the infrastructure and availability of health equipment ( medical equipment). Through this visit, the Head of State wants to ensure that the medical equipment provided by the government can function well and be useful for the local community.

“I want to see that the equipment, medical equipment (medical equipment) that has been provided by the central government, either through DAK (special allocation funds) or directly from the Ministry of Health, is truly useful and useful for the community,” said the President in his statement to media crew. after the review.

The President explained that a number of medical devices at the H. Hanafie Muara Bungo Regional Hospital, from the cath lab, mammography, to CT scans, were functioning well. Apart from that, H. Hanafie Muara Bungo Hospital also has several specialist doctors.

“What is lacking is an MRI, which we will try to get to the Muara Bungo regional hospital soon this year,” said the President.

Not only medical equipment, President Jokowi also highlighted the need to increase service capacity at the H. Hanafie Muara Bungo Regional Hospital. According to the President, the capacity of treatment rooms and beds at the Regional Hospital is still inadequate.

“So it needs to be built again to increase the capacity of this hospital. “Because this serves not only Muara Bungo, it serves Dharmasraya, serves Merangin, Tebo, and others,” said the President.

President Jokowi also emphasized that the government will focus on evaluating and improving infrastructure at the H. Hanafie Muara Bungo Regional Hospital. He has also instructed the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono to immediately send a team to the field.

“Earlier I told the Minister of Public Works that he would send a team here because the DED (detailed engineering design) already exists, does it need to be revised? Or does the DED need to be repeated? “We’ll see after a team enters the field,” he added.

The President also stated that the government would concentrate on providing medical equipment and building construction to increase service capacity. “We are concentrating on medical equipment because here there are not enough beds, there are not enough rooms, so we are also concentrating on building construction to add more space so that there are more beds,” he explained.
