The largest active volcano in the world, the Hawaiian Long Mountain, erupted again for the first time in 38 years, without causing damage to people or things so far. The lava flows remained mostly contained within the summit’s massive caldera but the eruption could pose a threat to residents of nearby areas if conditions change, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
