Berlin/HARD. How RTL reports, Heinz Hoenig is currently in a coma. The broadcaster wants to know this from the actor’s close environment. The 72-year-old, who lives in Blankenburg in the Harz Mountains, was said to have been taken to a Berlin hospital by helicopter on Tuesday evening. According to RTL, Hoenig is in critical condition.

As Hoenig’s management confirmed to RTL, an emergency heart operation was even necessary: ”Unfortunately, Mr. Hoenig is completely out of the musical ‘A Little Peace’ because he is currently in the intensive care unit of a clinic and needs an urgent, life-saving heart -Operating, which is expected to take place tomorrow (May 3rd).”

Heinz Hoenig only received a stent on his heart on Tuesday
As RTL further reports, the actor had a stent placed on his heart on Tuesday. There is currently no information about which operation will be carried out on Friday. However, the wording that it is an “urgent, life-saving heart operation” suggests a major operation.

Already his Hoenig had to stop participating in the jungle camp in January for “health reasons”.. The broadcaster RTL took the actor off the show after almost two weeks. At the time, the broadcaster said: “Our medical team decided today to take him out of the camp as a precaution. Heinz Hoenig is doing well and is with his family.” This was now around three months ago.

Hoenig’s participation in the jungle camp in early 2024 was accompanied by reports of financial problems. At that time it became known that the former “Das Boot” star was in debt.
That’s why RTL speculates that Hoenig doesn’t have health insurance. Because the operation is supposed to cost around 90,000 euros, it is not yet known how the major procedure will be paid for.
The actor’s biggest support: his family. Hoenig and his wife Annika, who is 33 years his junior, have two children. Hoenig has two other children from a previous marriage.
