Heinz Hoenig: Personal bankruptcy! He improves the family budget in the jungle

For many years he was one of the top earners on German television. Since his breakthrough with the cult film “Das Boot” and as a regular guest in Dieter Wedel’s (†82) multi-part series, Heinz Hoenig (72, “The King of St. Pauli”) has been collecting daily wages of up to 7,000 euros and has had nothing to worry about about finances. He enjoyed life and always made the most of it. But that is a long time ago.

At some point the really good roles didn’t materialize, but not the financial obligations. At some point everything got too much for him. As BUNTE learned, the father, who has two adult children with his late wife Simone and had another adorable offspring with his current wife Annika (38), Juliano (3) and Jianni (1), had to file for personal bankruptcy at the Magdeburg district court in 2021 . The process was officially opened in July 2021. The granting of the discharge of residual debt was announced on the condition that Heinz Hoenig fulfills his obligations.

There was obviously not much to be gained from Heinz Hoenig

During the good conduct phase, which can last up to three years, the debtor must disclose his assets, sell valuables and take reasonable care
strive for work. Insolvency administrator Alexandra Olejnik achieved this in May 2023
written procedure was ordered. Recognized claims of his creditors amounted to 157,686.29 euros, but only 3,381.15 euros were available.

There was obviously not much to be gained from Hoenig, so the procedure was canceled after just two years in September 2023 because the final distribution had been completed. Christian Löffler, judge at the Magdeburg Regional Court, told BUNTE that proceedings are pending at the Wernigerode District Court, but admitted that he cannot take “any position” on the questions raised.
