Henry Cavill does not rule out playing James Bond –

There are two names that are often thrown around among James Bond fans in discussions about who should play the next version of the character. One is Idris Elba, and the other is Henry Cavill. While the former has definitely denied that he is interested, the latter actor has been more vague.

And in a new interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Cavill reveals that he’s not closing the door, even hinting that he’s interested in getting a license to kill. When asked about it, he says:

“I have no idea. All I have to go on are the rumours. The same information you have. Maybe I’m too old now, maybe not. It’s up to Barbara Broccoli and Mike Wilson and we’ll see what they plan. “

Cavill’s next film is The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, in which he plays Gus March-Phillipps. He was the person who started the forerunner of the Special Air Service (SAS), and is perceived by many as one of the most important sources of inspiration for the character James Bond. When Rich Eisen pointed out that Cavill “plays the guy Bond is based on”he answered :

“Yeah, that seems like a good first step, doesn’t it?”

Henry Cavill is 40 years old today, which is younger than what Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan were in their respective first Bond films. It was recently reported that Aaron Taylor Johnson will be the next 007, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.

What do you think, would Cavill be the right choice for James Bond?
