On the last matchday he took TSV 1860 Munich a draw at Erzgebirge Aue and remains undefeated under new coach Argirios Giannikis. “All in all, we took a point, we didn’t concede a goal and we remain unbeaten. Now it’s time to keep scoring points against Essen,” said the Lions’ head coach.
“We had good tactical control for long periods of the game. But you can’t keep Aue completely away from the goal,” said Ginnikis in his game analysis. “We also had our opportunities in the first half with the ball coming out of the post. But we played off a lot of attacks in the final third sloppily.” After the red card, things got hectic in the end. “We had to overcome one or two situations.”
