Joshua Wong was sentenced to 10 months in prison for participating in the vigil on June 4, 2020 in memory of the victims of the Tiananmen Square repression.

One of the best-known faces on the pro-democracy front of the former British colony, Wong is serving a 13.5-month prison sentence for another unauthorized demonstration related to the mass protests of 2019.

In the hearing on 30 April he pleaded guilty to the latest charges together with district councilors Lester Shum (sentenced to 6 months in prison), Tiffany Yuen and Jannelle Leung (4 months for both).
