Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Lazio managed to achieve a narrow victory with a score of 1-0 against Hellas Verona in the match week 34 of the Italian League which was held at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Sunday (28/4/2024) early morning WIB. The single goal that gave Lazio victory was scored by Mattia Zaccagini in the 72nd minute.

With this result, Lazio rose to sixth place in the Italian League standings by collecting 55 points from 34 matches, seven points away from the top four. On the other hand, Hellas Verona is still stuck in 17th place after collecting a total of 31 points from 34 matches, only three points away from the relegation zone.

Statistical records show that Lazio dominated the match by recording 69% of ball possession and taking a total of 17 kicks, five of which were on target.

The home team created the first chance through Gustav Isaksen’s kick which was met from Luis Alberto’s corner, but the ball was cleared by Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipo.

In the second half, Lazio continued to press by creating opportunities, including through kicks from Felipe Anderson and Pedro Rodriguez. However, the team from the City of Rome was not able to change the score until the 72nd minute when Mattia Zaccagini scored with a pass from Luis Alberto.

Even though Verona tried to attack to equalize, Lazio was still able to maintain their lead until the final whistle sounded, keeping the score 1-0 for their victory.

In Week 35 of the Italian League, Lazio will visit Monza headquarters on Saturday (4/5/2024), while Verona will face Fiorentina the day after.
