Your new album is called “Just Love”. How did this title song come about?
I was in the dressing room just before a show and had these two words in my head: “Just love.” On the way to the stage I thought of a melody and sang it into my cell phone.

Yes, “It’s possible with love!” I have with my friend Andrea Berg written. We’ve been friends for a very long time. We had two days of very intensive discussions. Then at some point I said the sentence: “It works with love,” and we then developed the lyrics and the melody.
You’re turning 45 this year. Are you afraid of getting older?
No not at all. I also don’t understand women who feel old at 43. I’m looking forward to everything that comes, to every experience I can have in my life.
A positive attitude! How do you manage this?
The well-being of body and soul is simply part of my work. You can’t sing up and down three and a half octaves on stage for two hours while dancing if you’re not fit.
Have you ever dreamed of an international career?
I already experienced an international career as a child. So I very consciously chose this path. And to be considered one of the most successful singers in Germany is a great honor. All of this fills me with a lot of gratitude. I don’t want anything more. One should not become greedy in life.
Is there anything you really want to learn?
I have always wanted to learn pottery in my life. You have to save a few dreams for when you get older. I still have my three children at home, but once they’re out of the house, I might get into pottery at some point (laughs).
