The Austrian Christina Sturmer has just released a new album and is going on tour soon. At home, however, she enjoys gardening.

singer Christina Sturmer (41, “Million Lights”, “Side by Side”) loves gardening and enjoys sipping her coffee in the local nature. “Going into the garden in spring with a coffee, the smell of freshly mown lawn, it’s so nice,” said the Austrian to the private radio station Hit Radio FFH in Bad Vilbel.

At the moment, however, a lot of things in our own garden are lying fallow. The mother of two daughters still has a must: “A few radishes are always good and strawberries are a must! But I have to disappoint the snails around our home, there isn’t that much lettuce this year.”

The singer is currently excited about her new album. Sturmer is the first German-speaking artist to release an MTV Unplugged album. She wanted to have something special for her 20th stage anniversary, she told FFH. But it was a long journey for her: “It was hard work, very emotional – it was the album that took the most time in my 20 years.”

The album was recorded over two days at the Volkstheater in Vienna. “You think that the woman has been on stage for 20 years, she must actually be able to do it, but no, I was as excited as I was at the very first concert in 2003,” said Sturm. “It’s crazy, I felt so sick to my stomach. I hadn’t given a single concert in four years and then something like this happened.” The album was released on March 15th. Their tour starts in April. Striker plays concerts in Munich, Leipzig, Berlin and Cologne, among others.
