O International, who entered the field with guaranteed first place in the group stage of the Campeonato Gaúcho, went to Caxias do Sul, this Saturday (2/3) and, in full Alfredo Jaconi, beat Juventude 2-1. The duel was for last round. Thus, Juventude fought hard and had many chances. But the opportunities stopped at goalkeeper Anthoni. Colorado, which was very effective in attack, achieved victory with goals from Hyoran and Lucca. For Juventude, it was Jadson who scored.
Inter closes the round with 28 points, well ahead of Grêmio (with 25). Juventude, with 15 points, is at least qualified for the quarterfinals. In the next phase, Colorado takes on São Luiz and advances to the semis if they draw. Juventude faces Guarany and the advantage of the draw belongs to the rival.
Inter gets choked up, but takes the lead
The first half was played at a slow pace. This way, the teams studied each other and Juventude managed good plays on the flanks, finishing with danger. Goalkeeper Anthoni made at least two great saves. But Inter managed to work the ball well, with Gustavo Prado managing to stand out in movement, with objectivity. Thus, Colorado took the lead, at 21.
