Lecture: “Children who are allowed to do too much become adults who can do too little.”
Children are sometimes treated like little adults by their parents. Behind this is perhaps the great desire for harmony or the avoidance of possible conflicts.
As a result, children’s important skills in dealing with others in kindergarten, school and professional life cannot be adequately developed – for example frustration tolerance, work attitude and the ability to work in a team.
In this lecture, speaker Andreas Dederich addresses the framework that children and young people need for healthy development. He talks about rules, boundaries and consistency and gives tips on how we can best prepare our children for kindergarten, school and later professional life.
