Israel has sent six generators of one thousand kilowatts of power each to Ukraine. The generators, which started a few days ago from Ciampino, will be used to help the civilian population of Lviv by providing non-stop electricity to hospitals and other relief facilities.

The generators (worth 500 thousand euros) have left in the direction of Lviv from the factories of the Italian production company to Ciampino aboard trucks. This is a concrete support that testifies to Israel’s closeness to the Ukrainian people, strongly desired by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs across the Mashav (agency for international development cooperation), with the assistance ofEmbassy of Israel smell.

“This solidarity derives from a biblical categorical imperative, which is the basis of all our Western civilization – explains the Israeli ambassador to Italy, Dror Eydar . It is written in Leviticus: ‘You will not stand on the blood of your neighbor’. It means that we cannot remain helpless spectators when our neighbor is in danger of life, but we must intervene to save him “.

The Ukrainian humanitarian crisis requires pragmatic action and this initiative is part of the series of activities that the State of Israel is carrying out in favor of Ukrainian civilians. Among these is the construction of a fully functional field hospital just outside Lviv, which will include a maternity and pediatric ward, an emergency room and a telemedicine area that will allow Israeli doctors to help remotely. Added to this is the dispatch of medical and operational staff from Sheba Medical Center and Clalit Health Services, while a team from the Schneider Children’s Medical Center has assisted children with cancer and brought them to Israel, where they can be treated.

At the request of the Ukrainian authorities, Israel has already sent 100 tons of humanitarian aid to the citizens of Ukraine: medicines and medical equipment, thousands of family-sized winter tents, blankets, sleeping bags, winter clothing, water purification measures, yes they add to the generators and other medical and health measures already in place.
