The Israeli Army discovered underground facilities in the Gaza Strip used by the Islamist group Hamas to manufacture long-range missiles. The facilities were found in Bureij, located in the center of the Palestinian enclave, and were the largest weapons manufacturing site found in the Gaza Strip since the war began three months ago. According to a military spokesman, the troops found several tunnel mouths reaching a depth of approximately 30 meters and, with precise intelligence information, discovered a terrorist stronghold used to manufacture weapons. In addition to the long-range missiles, soldiers located other underground production facilities used to manufacture explosives and precision enhancers for Hamas’ mortar shells, light weapons, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The operations also resulted in the killing of “dozens” of militiamen, according to the Army.
