Last May 15, IVECO BUS and DAKAR DEM DIKK signed a contract for the delivery of 370 IVECO CROSSWAY and the provision of assistance services, in order to contribute to the modernization of transport in the Dakar metropolitan area and its surroundings.

The first IVECO CROSSWAYs have already arrived in the Senegalese capital, while the remaining units will be delivered by February 2024. These are the perfect vehicles for the vision of DAKAR DEM DIKK, which aims to provide modern and efficient public transport services, capable of travel passengers in complete comfort and safety.

The IVECO CROSSWAY and IVECO CROSSWAY LE chosen by DAKAR DEM DIKK will perfectly meet the needs of passengers and drivers, thanks to their unique characteristics. The vehicles are equipped with the 310 HP IVECO Cursor 8 Euro 3 engine, known for its great reliability and excellent performance. The IVECO CROSSWAY models have 55 seats, while the Low Entry version can accommodate 34 seated passengers and 72 standing. The vehicles, subjected to cataphoresis anti-corrosion treatment, are equipped with a three-piece front bumper, UFR ramps and pneumatic suspension driver’s seats.

In addition to the delivery of the vehicles, the contract includes a series of assistance and skills transfer measures, including the supply of spare parts, tools and useful documents. The manufacturer will also provide training and technical assistance on the vehicles, in order to ensure maximum efficiency and the best possible performance.
