TOKYO – He Japan carried out the executions by hanging of three men on death row. According to local media, these are the first executions since 2019 and since the new prime minister has headed the government Fumio Kishida.
Kyodo news agency reports that the Ministry of Justice has identified the three death row inmates as 65-year-old Yasutaka Fujishiro, who killed seven members of his family in 2004; and 54-year-old Tomoaki Takanezawa and 44-year-old Mitsunori Onogawa, convicted of killing two arcade employees in 2003.
