Barcelona picked up a 1-0 win at home Cadiz. Joao Felix became the hero of El Barca’s victory after scoring a goal with an overhead kick.
Barcelona travels to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla to face Cadiz in Week 31 of La Liga 2023/2024, Sunday (14/4/2024). El Barca was able to break the deadlock in the 37th minute.
Joao Felix scored a beautiful goal with an overhead kick. Felix’s goal was the only goal in this match.

Blaugrana closed the match with a 1-0 win. This result leads Barcelona to continue trailing Madrid at the top of the standings. They are in second place with 70 points, eight points behind El Real.
The Course of the Match
The visiting team dominated the match from the early minutes. Even so, Cadiz stole a chance in the 21st minute through Javi Hernadez. However, Marc-Andre ter Stegen was still alert to secure the ball.
Fermin Lopez tried to threaten with a long-range shot. This effort has not yet met its target.
Barcelona could take the lead in the 37th minute. Starting from a corner kick, a wild ball appeared in front of Cadiz’s goal. Joao Felix extraordinaryly kicked off an overhead kick which resulted in a goal.
El Barca almost doubled their lead just before the break. Fermin Lopez fired a shot towards Cadiz’s goal. The goal failed to occur because Victor Chust was able to block the ball right on the goal line.
The score 1-0 for Barcelona lasted until the first half was over.
After the break, Barcelona was still dominant. Lamine Yamal had a chance but it was saved by Jeremies Ledesma.
Substitute Dadie Samassekou almost equalized for Cadiz. Ter Stegen was the savior to prevent Barcelona from conceding.
Cadiz appeared to press towards the final minutes of the match. Barcelona played disciplined to maintain their lead.
The hosts failed to score an equalizer until the match ended. Barcelona closed the match with a 1-0 win.
