Seeing the numbers of the Haitian drama with your own eyes arouses dismay on the one hand, disdain for the other, together with the urge to shout it anyway. Anyone who has read the 2020 report on hunger and malnutrition in the world prepared by the FAO knows that 48.2% of the population of Haiti (more than 5 million people, just under half of the country’s population) suffers from chronic hunger; 21.9% of children under five suffer from stunting, 6.5% die.
