Jurgen Klopp officially confirmed to be leaving Liverpool end of the 2023/2024 season after nine seasons coaching at Anfield.
Liverpool revealed this certainty via the club’s official website, Friday (26/1). Liverpool stated that Klopp had decided to leave the club at the end of this season.
“Jurgen Klopp has announced his decision to step down as Liverpool coach at the end of this season, having informed the club’s owner of his desire to leave his position as the 2023-24 season draws to a close,” the party wrote. Liverpool.

Klopp’s contract with Liverpool will only end in June 2026. However, the German coach admitted that he was ‘running out of energy’ to continue coaching Liverpool.

Klopp said he deliberately announced his departure from Liverpool in the middle of this season so that the Reds management had time to plan changes to the coaching team.
“I’ve been telling the club since last November. I have to explain a little bit that maybe from the outside my job looks like being on the sidelines and in training sessions, things like this. But most of the things happen around these kinds of things. That’s meaning when the season is going on and you are already planning for the next season,” said Klopp.
