Justin Timberlake is back to music. This Thursday, January 25th, the singer announced his new album and revealed the single “Selfish”.
The North American releases his sixth studio album, “Everything I Thought It Was”, on March 15th.
To announce the new album, Justin Timberlake revealed the first singles. “Selfish”, which is now available on all music streaming services, is presented as a “pop song, driven by infectious melodies and features the singer’s iconic soul vocals”.
Written by Timberlake, Louis Bell (Taylor Swift, Post Malone), Cirkut (Maroon 5, The Weeknd), Theron Thomas, Amy Allen and produced by Timberlake, Louis Bell and Cirkut, “Selfish” marks a return to new music from Justin Timberlake since his album “Man of the Woods”, from 2018, which featured songs such as “Filthy”, “Supplies” or “Say Something”.
The music video, directed by Bradley J. Calder (SZA, Tinashe), brings “the song’s introspection to life by pulling back the curtain on the production process and blurring the line between performance and reality”, describes Sony Music.
