Famous American skier Ketrin “Kaša” Rigbi died in an avalanche in the Brezovica ski resort. She was 54 years old.
According to information from the American media, she once skied on Cho Oy, the sixth highest mountain in the world, on the border of Nepal and China, higher than 8,000 meters.
Also, it is stated that she was visiting ski resorts near the ski resort when she lost her life in an avalanche at the ski resort. She has been a member of the North Face team since 1995 and is credited with pioneering telemark skiing, a technique that combines alpine and Nordic skiing in which one leg remains behind the body to maintain the skier’s balance.
Brezovica is the largest ski center in Kosovo and Metohija, in the municipality of Štrpce and on the northwest side of Mount Šare.
