This Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the famous show Koh Lanta returns to TF1 from 9:10 p.m. This 2024 edition, entitled “The Immunity Hunters”, was filmed in the Philippines. Émilie, Ricky and Steve, three candidates this season, explain why they participated in the adventure game.
Émilie, 45 years old, from Narbonne (Aude)
Mother of 3 children, Émilie has been a telephone salesperson for 20 years and she has won the title of best saleswoman in France for several years. She is also a great sportswoman. “In 2014, I started bodybuilding, with ambition”she told L’Indépendant.

“In 2015, I participated in the French championships, and I won them. Then I went to the European championships, and twice to the Worlds. Today, even if I no longer aspire to participate in big competition, I still practice this sport, in addition to crossfit for example”she explained.
Why is she participating in Koh Lanta? “Koh-Lanta is the adventure of my life. I haven’t watched all the seasons, but it’s a show that brings together everything that motivates me: discovery, survival, strategy”she told The Independent. “I want to surpass my limits and obviously win this edition”she says in her presentation video on her social networks and those of TF1.
Ricky, 23 years old, from Rivesaltes (Pyrénées-Orientales)
The Catalan, an education assistant in a college near Perpignan, is a seasoned sportsman. He has won several titles in karate including that of French champion in 2018.

Why is he participating in Koh Lanta? Because he’s a big fan of the show that he’s been watching since 2007. “I was 6-7 years old and I was watching the show glued to the screen, sitting on the living room sofa between my mother and my grandmother. I don’t think even an earthquake would have made me move by an inch!”he explained to The Independent.
Steve, 34 years old, from Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales)
Employee of a vending company, Steve sent his first registration form to Koh Lanta in 2001.
