Krim, Bryn | Denies criminal responsibility for attempted murder after shooting at Bryn

A man in his late teens was seriously injured in a shooting incident, but his life is not in danger. He himself reported to the police that he had been shot inside a building in Tvetenveien on Bryn in Oslo.

Four men in their late teens have been charged with attempted murder following the shooting on Monday evening.

In an SMS to Nettavisen on Tuesday evening, lawyer Hilde Marie Ims, who represents one of the accused, states that the police have now released her client.

Police say the shooting was unlikely to be random.

– Based on the information we now have, the action looks targeted. It looks like the shooting took place indoors, and several shots were fired, said section leader at the homicide section in the Oslo police district, Anne Alræk Solem, to NTB.

In a press release, the Oslo police write that the accused will probably be produced for remand on Wednesday.

Later on Tuesday evening, the police announced in a press release that two had been released.

– On Tuesday evening, two of the accused in the case were released. The initial investigation has weakened the grounds for suspicion against them, and it is no longer considered that there are reasonable grounds for suspicion against these persons. Two people are still charged with complicity in attempted murder and will be produced for remand tomorrow.

– Totally incomprehensible

The four accused were assigned the defenders Jens Halvard Bratz, Espen Wangberg, Jørgen Mowinckel and Hilde Marie Ims.

– He knows the others from the youth community, but has had nothing to do with the case. He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and only became aware of the case in connection with the arrest, writes Bratz in an SMS to Nettavisen.

– It is a serious matter and he is of course affected by it.

Wangberg and Ims’ clients also deny criminal guilt.

Mowinckel has not wanted to say anything about the matter yet.

Settlement

– We think this is a settlement between someone who knows each other, task leader Erik Hestvik told the press at the scene in Tvetenveien on Monday evening.

The police were notified of the violent incident at 7.53pm on Monday.

– We received a report that a person had been shot. When we arrived at the scene shortly afterwards, we found the victim outdoors with what we assume are gunshot wounds, said task leader Gabriel Langfeldt in the Oslo police district to NTB.
