In a match valid for the 29th round of the Italian Championship, Lazio visited and beat Frosinone 3-2, this Saturday (16). The winning goals were scored by Castellanos (two) and Zaccagni. The home team scored with Pol Lirola and Cheddira.

With the result, Lazio ends a series of four defeats (three at the Italian and one in the Champions League) and is in ninth place in the Scudetto, with 43 points, four behind Atalanta, who complete the G6, but are still playing in the round. Frosinone appears in 18th, opening the relegation zone, with 24 points.

Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson started and played for Lazio until 37 minutes into the second half. On Frosinone’s side, striker Kaio Jorge came on at 35 in the final stage, replacing Gelli. Another Brazilian, attacking midfielder Reinier stepped onto the field in the 46th minute, replacing Brescianini.

The match was marked by balance. At 13, Frosinone opened the scoring with Lirola taking advantage of Zortea’s cross. Lazio tied at 38 in the first half, with Zaccagni shooting into the middle of the goal after a pass from Guendouzi.

Encouraged, Lazio turned around at 12 in the final stage, with Castellanos. The Argentine, in fact, scored the Eagles’ third, five minutes later. Frosinone scored with Cheddira, with a “pull” finish, at 25. In the final stretch of the match, both teams created a lot, but defended poorly. Thus, there were many good finishes for both sides. For Lazio, Luís Alberto did the most work. For Frosinone, Cheddira scored again, but was offside.

Frosinone, in turn, visits Genoa on the 30th. It is worth remembering that the Italian Championship will stop for two weeks due to Data-Fifa.
