Wang Fulin is 69 years old this year. Due to vasculitis, his feet atrophy and unable to walk normally, so he can only use a wheelchair as a means of transportation. The previous stove was too high and inconvenient to use, which became the biggest trouble in his home life. Not long ago, in the joint town of the County Disabled Persons’ Federation, Wang Fulin’s stove was made barrier-free, equipped with a range hood, cabinets and other facilities, and the kitchen was completely renewed.
This year, Taoyuan County actively innovated government services. In the process of assessing the disability and applying for certificates for the disabled in the county, it was discovered that some families in difficulties caused many inconveniences to daily life due to incomplete and unreasonable living facilities. Taking party history learning and education as an opportunity, the county combines “I do practical things for the masses” with helping the disabled and disabled people. Starting from the characteristics and needs of the target, the county implements policies for households and renovates the family facilities of the disabled for free. Up to now, the county has completed the barrier-free renovation of more than 200 families with disabilities, and the satisfaction rate has reached 100%.
