BEIRUT – Now it’s official: Hezbollah no longer leads the majority coalition in the Lebanese parliament. According to the final results, the Shia group and its allies have 62 seats out of 128, nine less than the 71 they had won in 2018.
It is not just a question of numbers: the movement led by Hassan Nasrallah it lost two seats in the South, the area of the country where it has always exercised almost total control.
