Lille beats Lens and moves up to 3rd in the French Championship

Lille beat Lens 2-1 this Friday (29), in the game that opened the 27th round of the French Championship, and provisionally rose to third place in the table.

With 46 points, Lille surpasses Monaco (4th) on goal difference, who on Saturday will face Metz (17th). Furthermore, the team is one point behind second-place Brest, which on Sunday visits Lorient (15th).

The protagonist of this Friday’s match was striker Edon Zhegrova, who scored both of Lille’s goals (9′ and 60′). Lens scored with Elye Wahi (78′), but did not avoid defeat and now remain in sixth place.
