PSM Makassar managed to achieve a 3-2 victory over Rans Nusantara FC in the final week of Liga 1 2023/2024. This result also ensures that the club owned by artist Raffi Ahmad must be relegated.
PSM Vs Rans was presented at the Batakan Stadium, Balikpapan in Week 34 of League 1, Tuesday (30/4/2024). PSM was two goals ahead in the first half through Yakob Sayuri’s brace.
Rans actually had a chance to take the lead in the 23rd minute after being awarded a penalty. However, Mitsuru Maruoka as the executioner failed, his shot went wide to the right side of the PSM goal.

In the second half PSM did not relax their game. Meanwhile, Rans, who needed a goal, played aggressively and attacked.
As a result, Adilson Silva managed to escape the counterattack in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, his shot still hit the crossbar, even though Hilman Syah had already left his nest.
Rans managed to reduce the score in the 62nd minute. Through a quick attack, Kushedya Yudo easily fired a kick that landed in Reza Arya’s goal.
Rans almost equalized the score in the 73rd minute by taking advantage of a communication miss in the PSM defense. However, Evandro’s shot was still narrow on the left side of the PSM goal.
The situation for Rans became even more difficult after PSM widened the score again in the 80th minute. Adilson Silva got his name on the scoreboard after taking advantage of the rebound from Kenzo Nambu’s free kick.
Rans became increasingly aggressive at the end of the match until he was awarded a penalty in injury time. Evandro as the executor managed to break through Reza Arya’s goal.
The goal was the last after 7 minutes of added time. Final score 3-2 for PSM’s advantage.
This result meant that Rans Nusantara had to be relegated to League 2 following Persikabo and Bhayangkara FC. Rans is stranded in 16th place in the League 1 standings with 35 points or a difference of three points from Arema FC in 15th place with 38 points.
